Pope Benedict has refused to visit Britain at this point in time. Although the meeting with Prime Minister Gordon Brown was cordial, the Telegraph writes, there are no plans for the Pope to visit Great Britain at any time in the future.
Most of the talk was centered around ways to solve the world economic crisis and “and to foster cooperation on projects of human promotion, respect for the environment and sustainable development.” Clearly, this visit was one for diplomacy.
Business as usual at the Vatican, all crises and l’affaires notwithstanding.
