Fr. Augustine Thompson, O. P., has alerted me to the following posting at New Liturgical Movement.
The Conference will be held at House of Studies of the Western Dominican Province in Oakland CA at the beginning of August. Several important Dominicans will be giving lectures on the Dominican Rite during this conference including: Fr. Aidan Nichols, Fr. Giles Dimock, and Fr. Augustine Thompson himself. There will also be lectures given by Professor William Mahrt of Stanford University.
The conference will focus on the Dominican Rite and a highlight of the conference will include Dominican Rite Low Mass, a Solemn Dominican Rite High Mass on the Feast of St. Dominic, and a Dominican Rite Compline will be sung every evening during the course of the conference. The conference will focus on how to serve the Dominican Rite Mass as well as its history and music. Anyone that would like to attend is invited.
Registration begins on April 1 (no fooling!) for Dominican nuns, laity, and others people. Dominican friars can register before this date.
If you are in the Portland area or are interested in the Dominican Rite of the Gregorian Mass, please consider attending.
