I do not post much about political issues on this site. Quite frankly, I do not know enough about them to make mention of them here. However, I do think that the following does bear placement here.
It is a monthly bulletin from Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Spokane, WA. Its pastor is Fr. Kevin Vaillancourt, a prominent Independent sedevacantist priest. He is the editor of “The Catholic Voice”, which is considered one of the best traditional Catholic publications in the country by its readers. He has also written numerous pamphlets and book that can be purchased here and here.
The article is a plea for Washington voters to say to I-1000. As many of you know, Washington State has refused twice to sanction physician-assisted suicide. Unfortunately, this does not mean that supporters of the Culture of Death have not risen up to demand a new initiative. It seems that the time could very well be right for the initiative to pass on the ballot this year since the times are what they are.
As Fr. Vaillancourt writes so well, we should have a proper view of what euthanasia is and his post is one of the best defenses of the pro-life position despite his schism from the Vatican.
Let us pray that I-1000 does not pass this year.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
St. Juan Diego, pray for us!
