It seems to me that this blog is starting to attract a following. At some point within the last 24 hours, I hit over 200 hits. This is really good for the blog and a great boost in confidence.

Yet I know that it was God’s Providence that brought and continues to bring so many readers to this site. Nothing that I could do could double and triple my hits within a matter of days or hours.

For the most part, I think that abandonment to God’s Providence is something that we should all practice. To know that God is in charge and will take care of everything for us is an extremely consoling thought. After all, we cannot do much of anything via our own efforts. It is only through God’s help that we are able to accomplish the things that we are. Indeed, it is God’s Providence that sustains us day to day.

Aside from God’s Providence, I think that the devotion to the Sacred Heart is extremely important for our times. Part of this comes from the fact that we live in an age in which Christ has been pushed out of the classroom and the public square. Yet by enthroning the Sacred Heart in our homes and families, we can bring God back into our lives and make Him central to the way we live.

Enthronement of the Sacred Heart is important, but not as important as our own personal consecration. After all, we should desire to give ourselves completely to the Sacred Heart and to do so in confidence that God will see us through absolutely anything that He is willing to send our way. Once again, as you can see, I’m talking about Providence. Indeed, it is Providence that makes the world go round.
